Violinist Pavel Šporcl’s comeback to the legendary Lucerna Hall

Pavel Šporcl is looking forward to the
upcoming performance of his Christmas tour this year. He will present a programme full of carols and Christmas melodies in nine cities of the Czech Republic. The series of concerts will culminate at the legendary Prague Lucerna Hall, which the Czech prominent violinist has already sold out four times and where Pavel Šporcl will finish his tour. The audience can look forward to a brand new
Christmas performance with great guests: singer and guitarist Lenka Filipová, leading Czech soprano singer Jana Srejmka Kačírkovová, soloist of the National Theater and holder of two Thalia Awards as well as world-renowned harpist and soloist of the Czech Philharmonic Jana Boušková. The soloists will perform with the accompaniment of the Karlovy Vary Symphonic Orchestra under the baton of Jan Kučera, the principal conductor of the orchestra.

In the first half of this festive concert, there will be heard Baroque compositions and concerts of Johann Pachelbel, Anthony Vivaldi, Johann Sebastian Bach and Jan-Marie Leclair. The Baroque programme will be concluded with the performance of the Complete Christmas Concerti Grossi 8 g minor op. 6 composed by Arcangelo Corelli.

The sparkling music of Baroque masters will be replaced by a purely Christmas programme in the second half of the evening, compiled out of beautiful Christmas melodies, songs and carols from all around the world in special arrangements for solo violin and orchestra. The
audience will not miss the popular Christmas song Rolničky (Jingle Bells), Schubert's spiritual Ave Maria, Pásli ovce Valaši (Wallachian
folk carol), or the Czech Christmas anthem Narodil se Kristus Pán (The Lord Christ was born = Be joyful, Earth and starry sky).

The unique program is following the first Christmas album by Pavel Šporcl - Christmas on Blue Violin, which was recorded in 2017 with the renowned Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra for Universal Music. This unique album received Platinum certification awarded for sales last year and ranked TOP 10 best-selling albums across all genres and artists. The last year’s tour Christmas on Blue Violin was also very
successful and pleased thirteen thousand listeners across the Czech Republic. The recording of the concert was held by Czech Television at Forum Karlin (Prague) which was sold out twice thanks to Pavel Šporcl and his guests.
